What we are looking for:


As Account Director at The Other Agency you can make strategic decisions and leave your mark long term. We are growing, and we are growing fast! Therefore we are looking for key people in our organization to build upon and help us realize our ambitions. We are looking for a leader who does not only look at their own clients, but takes responsibility for the entire client portfolio and understands the bigger scope of an advertising agency. Yes, we also need to make money, next to good advertising. Together with the current team of account managers, directly reporting to the managing director you’ll be helping our agency towards its goals.

As an experienced account manager/director you already know what to do, but we thought it would be useful to list the key responsibilities anyway. But please bring your expertise to the job, we love learning from new people.

Your key responsibilities:


  • Ensuring strong client relationships
  • Working proactively to present creative and solid business building ideas
  • Managing financial performance of the clients
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the clients 
  • Have a high level 360° view on all clients
  • Taking responsibility for the account, managing 360° campaigns
  • Developing, writing and presenting communication plans (together with Creation/Strategy teams)
  • Conducting briefings, externally as well as internally
  • Starting up and following up projects
  • Advising clients on 360° touch point communication
  • Optimizing internal workflows and project structures, without killing our room for creativity.

  • excellent people and team management skills
  • an excellent and convincing communicator, able to partner with our client(s) on a senior level
  • a strategic thinker with a passion for business, creativity and technology
  • broad-minded, flexible and open to challenges
  • more than 7 years on-the-job experience (account management)
  • bilingual Dutch/French, with excellent knowledge of English
  • very efficient, getting the job done on time within budget
  • able to work very independently
  • result-oriented, excellent in operations
  • Experience in managing international accounts is a plus
