You know how to translate killer strategy into visuals? You create stuff that is unexpected, brand new and sexy. You can work closely together with our copywriter or be a lone wolf if you love to start from visuals only and get in touch with copy afterwards. Whatever works best and brings the concept home. Still haven’t heard anything new here? Then you might be our new art director.

When will we swipe to the right?

 

What’s different is that you get anOTHER hat. Sometimes you will be responsible for graphic design: go to printer-file and even add excel tables in Indesign. You call it boring, we call it hands-on, team-oriented and optimistic. But most of the time your mission at The Other Agency is to translate messages towards target groups for the coolest B2B and B2C brands in an innovative and surprising way.  

You need to be curious and interested as you need to dig into the world of our clients. Get in touch with their products or services, consumers and brand personality. Be able to sell and present your story and afterwards execute the concept on the highest possible level. Working together with photographers, directors, illustrators, web designer and whomever able to visualize your concept. All of that with the account manager breathing down your neck: feedback, margins, timesheets, deadlines.

What are we looking for?

 

Your skills

 

  • Preferably, you have 5 years of experience as a designer and/or Art Director.
  • You have tons of creativity. You can come up with brand new concepts, innovative ideas, you are the best in translating written strategy into graphical beauties. 
  • Obviously, the Adobe Creative Suite has no secrets for you (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop are a must).
  • You never lose sight of the bigger picture. Your designs showcase strong and understandable communication.You have great attention for detail: you spot double spaces from miles away.
  • You are a thinker: you transform strategic and creative thinking into solutions across multiple channels.

Your to-do list

 

  • You create new concepts and designs, based on strategic insights as well as campaign tactics 
  • You are very active in brainstorms to find that amazing creative insight
  • You create and design everything we need for our clients throughout the entire campaign, from full-blown brochures to tv-spots or Facebook visuals.
  • Yes, you will have to do DTP work. And yes, it won’t always be the most interesting work. That is because we expect you to be hands on and do what needs to be done for our clients.
  • You proactively think about new ideas and campaigns to surprise our clients.
  • You offer strategic and innovative solutions and add or contribute to client meetings

  • You’re an outgoing and motivated person with a sense of humour (good or bad).
  • You always want to learn and do better than you did the day before.
  • You are critical of your own work and can handle feedback.
  • You’re flexible: life at The Other Agency definitely isn’t #000000 and #FFFFFF.
  • You keep calm when deadlines are tight or briefings are chaotic.
  • You have a commercial mindset: we’re an advertising agency after all.
  • You’re definitely a team player, but you love cracking a briefing on your own as well.
