Do you use common sense instead of Comic Sans? Are you smart enough for Photoshop’s smart objects? Are you never off-beat with the keyframes in After Effects? And do you save your designs every .3 seconds? Then this is the job you’ve been looking for.

A day in the life


Your day starts with coffee and a quick scroll through the latest design trends. First thing you open: Photoshop. You start designing an e-mailing and a landing page for one of our fabulous clients. Next up: some short animations for Facebook or Instagram. Mmm, do you smell croques? After a delicious TOA-provided lunch, you start DTP’ing a brochure. And because it’s the most wonderful time of the year, the final to-do on your list is a creative christmas card.

What are we looking for?


Your skills


  • Preferably, you have 1 year of experience as a graphic designer.
  • You know the difference between RGB, CMYK, CSS, DTP, .jpg, .pdf, .eps and so on.
  • Adobe has no secrets for you (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop are a must).
  • It’s a huge plus if you know your way around After Effects & Premiere Pro.
  • Same goes for WordPress: also a plus.
  • You have great attention for detail: you spot double spaces from miles away.
  • At the same time, you never lose sight of the bigger picture. Your designs showcase strong and understandable communication.
  • You can turn abstract ideas into attractive designs.
  • You can deliver files print-ready and online ready.
  • You’re fluent in either Dutch or English. Knowledge of English and/or French would definitely come in handy.

Your to-do list


  • You design print and online deliverables for our clients, from full-blown brochures to Facebook visuals.
  • You roll out entire campaigns design-wise while always respecting and following the brand guidelines.
  • You make short videos and animations for social media.
  • You keep a close eye when doing DTP work and advise our clients when you have a better solution.
  • You design infographics from scratch.
  • You assist our art director with your own creative ideas.
  • You proactively think about new ideas and campaigns to surprise our clients with.

Your personality


  • You’re an outgoing and motivated person with a sense of humour (good or bad).
  • You’re eager to teach yourself whatever tool or application you need for the task.
  • You are critical of your own work and can handle feedback.
  • You’re flexible: life at The Other Agency definitely isn’t #000000 and #FFFFFF.
  • You keep calm when deadlines are tight or briefings are chaotic.
  • You have a commercial mindset: we’re an advertising agency, after all.
  • You’re definitely a team player, but you love cracking a briefing on your own as well.
